( --- ) Flaubert a reclusive hermit spent the seventies living in a remote stone cottage near ----- in the Langedoc region. He is said to have channelled this ‘musique d’espace’ from the future and claimed that they were played to him by aliens and that he was simply reproducing instrumentally on his collection of moogs what he heard during these ‘celestial transmissions’. ( --- ) ‘Je Suis un Homme D’Espace’, his only album, was allegedly issued on what is now an impossible to find 33” vinyl record in the summer of 1975 on the incredibly obscure French label AMPOULE  ELECTRIQUE (ref: Perce Orielle - Cheval Pussant / Ampoule Electrique 1975 – page 38 / page 193). Despite researchers best efforts to verify its existence it has proved impossible to find copies of this record which calls into question the veracity of Mollinere’s claim. Indeed it was only in 1991 that Mollinere made these unusual ‘archival’ recordings publicly available (re)issuing them on his now defunct MUSIQUE VALLIANT Benelux label. Flaubert passed away in 1987 his career amounting to an intriguing yet somewhat questionable footnote in the history of French electronica.
